Egypt visa for Indians

Egypt is the most populous Arab country in northern Africa. It has had a long friendship with India, and Indian citizens regularly visit Egypt for business and leisure. To visit Egypt for tourism, you must first obtain permission from the Egyptian embassy in New Delhi or the consular office in Mumbai to obtain a tourist visa. Because India is not on the list of countries whose nationals are eligible for an e-visa approval unless they are travelling in a big group, Indian residents cannot apply for a visa to Egypt online.

As India is not on the list of countries whose citizens may apply for an e-visa online through the official website, an Indian citizen’s sole option for obtaining a visa, whether tourist or business, is to apply in person. To apply offline, you must send your application to the embassy or consulate. The unusual aspect of receiving permission for an Egyptian visa is that the applicant is not required to undergo an interview. Only if the applicant has no prior experience travelling overseas will he or she be required to attend an interview with an immigration official.

Types Of Egypt Visa

• Tourist visa: Anyone visiting Egypt for pleasure or sightseeing will benefit from this sort of visa. A tourist visa is valid for 90 days, however, a journey cannot go more than 30 days. Unless there is no prior travel history or the immigration office insists on an interview, this Egypt visa application process does not need a personal interview. A valid cover letter to the consulate booked travel tickets, and gazette-attested previous six months bank statements are some of the documents required for this Egypt visa for Indians (with a minimum balance of Rs. 50,000).
• Business Visa: This Egypt visa is required for anybody visiting Egypt purely for business purposes. The applicant must provide papers such as confirmed aeroplane tickets, a cover letter from the company that the applicant will be representing during the business trip, and a letter of invitation from Egyptian partners that must be delivered directly to the consulate.

Where to get your visa for Egypt?

The Egyptian tourist visa is available via the Egyptian Embassy in New Delhi and the Egyptian Consular Office in Mumbai. Egypt, unlike many other nations, has not outsourced its visa processing to a commercial firm such as VFS. There is currently no facility for Indians to get an e-visa or a visa on arrival. In exceptional circumstances, the Embassy/Consulate has the right to request further papers or a physical presence for an interview.

If you’re an Indian citizen, please note that submitting these papers does not guarantee that an Egypt visa will be granted! As a result of insufficient documents or refusing to attend a special visa interview, your application may be rejected. For Indian citizens, the following papers are necessary to obtain an Egypt tourist visa:

• Valid six-month-old original passports and your old passport.
• Forms for obtaining a visa
• Two passport-sized photographs were taken within the last year. At least 80 per cent of the face should be seen in the shot, which must precisely be 4×6 cm.
• Cover letter describing the visit and travel arrangements.

• Form 16 is a tax return.
• Authentic personal bank statements for the past six months, updated with a healthy balance and the bank’s seal and signature.
