That can be, for example, “Construction worker in Mosul” or “Oil engineer in Baghdad.” Use the language that you feel most comfortable speaking. Go beyond the first few pages. Go deep with your search. You’ll immediately understand what’s around and which job websites best suit your needs.

Look for an organization that might have job opportunities for you. For example, look for “Doctor in Basra” or “Mall in Sulaymaniya (Slemani)” for example. Google Maps, Baidu Maps, Naver Maps, 2GIS, or any other map app, can help you find employers near you or abroad.

Facebook groups can also be an option to start to see what’s around you. You can search for Facebook groups that talk about Iraq or jobs.

Search for employment schemes

You can apply for an employment scheme or an employment support program to help you find a job. Those programs can be local or national. They can be open only to Iraqi residents, but they can also be available to foreigners. You can search for “Iraq employment scheme” or “Iraq employment program.” You can search for employment schemes at your local government or embassy.
