The official languages of the country include English and Swahili. Many other tribal languages in the part of the country.

What are the entry requirements to study in Uganda?

All applicants need to have a recognized English language qualification. For this, you can give an international Enligh language test such as IELTS. Uganda universities might ask for a score of 6 for IELTS. Some university departments may need a higher score. Check with your university what is their language requirements.

Makerere University

Makerere University, established in 1922, is a non-profit public higher education. The institution is in the urban planning of Kampala, Uganda’s capital. It is a technical school and is the largest and oldest institution of higher education. The institution has expanded its offerings to include medical. Like agriculture, veterinary science, and teacher education courses.

Christian University of Uganda 

The Church of Uganda founded the Christian University of Uganda in 1997. It was in response to a need for university education from a Christian standpoint. The government of Uganda approved UCU first in 2004.

UCU comprises five universities and regional colleges, six faculties, and three schools. It provides more than 70 diplomas, bachelor’s, and masters. And doctoral programs aimed at developing a group of professionals with integrity. The ability to observe, think and make free decisions and a Christian perspective. 

Mbarara University of Science and Technology

It is a public higher education institution in the town of Mbarara, Western Province. They founded Mbarara University of Science and Technology as a non-profit in 1989.

Kampala International University

The International University of Kampala (KIU) is a non-profit private higher education institution. It began as a degree-granting institution and has evolved into Uganda’s first university. In Kampala, Uganda’s capital city.

Kyambogo University

Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo, the Institute of Teacher Education, Kyambogo. Kyambogo University is a non-profit public higher education school in Kampala. It is one of Uganda’s most prominent public college courses. Professional universities and over 100 corporate institutions.

Ugandan Martyrs University of Uganda

The University of Uganda Martyrs is a private institution located in Kampala. The capital of Uganda’s Central Province. The Episcopal Conference of Ugandan Catholic Bishops owns UMU, a private, faith-based institution.

Uganda University of Technology and Management

Uganda University of Technology and Management UNCHE has granted it. Permission to perform teaching, research, and community involvement. UTAMU provides 21st-century students with high-quality, effective teaching. And learning through face-to-face learning that mixes face-to-face and regular learning.

Busitema University

Busitema University is a non-profit public higher education institution in Busitema. The university has campuses in Nagongera, Namasagali, Arapai, Mbale, Pallisa, and Kaliro.
