In order to facilitate the ease of arrival for all visitors, including travelers from the Philippines, the Turkish government has recently modified its entry requirement criteria. In the past, travelers had to possess a traditional stamp visa or sticker visa, which required a visit to an embassy or consulate or had to be gained on entry to the country.
A great deal of inconvenience and delays have been avoided by all visitors to Turkey following the introduction of the Turkey electronic travel authorization system or eVisa (electronic visa).
Fortunately, the Turkey visa requirements for Filipinos are straightforward and visitors traveling from the Philippines are eligible for a Turkish eVisa. There is a list of 100 countries whose citizens are allowed to apply for an electronic visa to gain entry to Turkey and Filipino nationals are on it.
Turkey visa for Filipino in Singapore
Many countries require visitors to have official documentation in order to enter and Turkey is no different. The Turkish eVisa is exactly that – an official piece of document that allows travelers, for instance from the Philippines, to visit the country with ease. The Turkey electronic travel authorization system has enabled applications to be made online rather than in person and, once approved, applicants receive an eVisa.
Applications can be made from all devices that have access to the Internet (laptop, desktop, tablet, smartphone) at a time and place which suits the applicant. This has removed any barriers Filipino travelers would have otherwise faced such as queues on arrival in the country or having to visit an embassy well in advance of travel.
Also, eVisas can be granted before travel to Turkey is confirmed too, which protects the money outlaid in the event of entry being denied for whatever reason. It is always advisable to make the Turkish eVisa online application well in advance of confirming travel arrangements in order to avoid any issues.
There are different visas available for visitors traveling from The Philippines dependent on their reason for the visit. When you fill out your application, ensure you state the reason as either eVisa for tourism or for business to avoid confusion and to get the right eVisa for your trip. Dependent on the country of origin, a visa would be valid for multiple visits within the period of validity.
