Visa-free countries for Dutch citizens

Visa requirements for Dutch citizens are administrative entrance limitations. These are imposed by the authorities of other countries on citizens of the Netherlands. Dutch citizens belong to the collective nationality of the four counties that comprise the Kingdom of the Netherlands. 

Freedom of Travel

Dutch citizens are permitted to travel to these countries without obtaining a visa. It’s possible that identification cards or passports may be needed.

The following countries welcome Dutch citizens and recognise freedom of travel to Dutch people:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (European France), Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Bosnia and Herzegovina  

Visa-free for 90 days within any 6 month period. You can enter with just a valid ID card. 

Botswana  

Visa-free for 90 days

Brazil  

Visa-free for 90 days within any 180 day period

Brunei  

Visa-free for 90 days 

Canada  

Visa-free for 6 months, Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is required if you are arriving by air.

Cape Verde  

Visa-free for 30 days, you must register online at least five days prior to arrival. When you fly to Cape Verde you need to pay an airport security tax.

Chile  

Visa-free for 90 days

Colombia  

Visa-free for 180 days. You can get a 90 days that is extendable to up to a 180 days stay within a one year period.

If you have no Israeli visa or stamp on your passport, and if you have a phone number, an address in Lebanon, and a non-refundable return or circle trip ticket, you will be granted a visa on arrival free of charge at Beirut International Airport or any other port of entry.

Maldives

If an eVisa purchased prior to arrival, Dutch citizens can go to these following destinations. 

Angola   

You can get a eVisa for 30 days. Visitors who have received an online pre-visa or who have requested a pre-visa from an Angolan consulate abroad will receive a visa when they arrive at the country’s border crossings. Within a year, a total stay of 90 days is allowed. Visitors must have a return or onward ticket as well as a confirmation of their hotel stay. 

Australia  

You can get a eVisa for 90 days, once on each visit in a one year period.

Azerbaijan  

You can get a eVisa for 30 days

Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast)  

You can get a eVisa for 3 months. eVisa holders need to arrive via Port Bouet Airport.

Djibouti  

You can get eVisa for 31 days

Guinea  

You can get a eVisa for 90 days

India  

You can get a eVisa for 60 days. If you have an e-Visa, you need to arrive via certain designated airports. An Indian e-Tourist Visa can only be obtained two times in one year. 

Myanmar   

You can get a eVisa for 28 days. If you have an eVisa you need to fly into Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw, or Mandalay, or travel by land through Thailand (Tachileik, Myawaddy, and Kawthaung) or India (Rih Khaw Dar and Tamu). eVisas are accessible for both tourism (up to 28 days) and business (up to 70 days) purposes.

New Zealand  

You can get a eVisa for 3 months. When requesting an Electronic Travel Authority, the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy must be paid. Holders of an Australian Permanent Resident Visa or Resident Return Visa may be granted a New Zealand Resident Visa on arrival, allowing them to stay indefinitely (under the Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement), provided they meet character requirements and obtain an Electronic Travel Authority before leaving.

eVisa or visa on arrival for 90 days. If you have an electronic visa, you must arrive via Libreville International Airport. 

Guinea-Bissau

Kuwait

Laos  

eVisa or visa on arrival for 30 days. A visa on arrival may be available at Luangphabang, Pakse, Savannakhet and Vientiane international airports, the 4 Thai-Lao Friendship Bridges. eVisa may be used to enter Laos through Wattay International Airport and the First Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge. The Lalai, Lantui, Meuang mom, Pakxan, and Phoudou border crossings are open only to visa holders. Visa on arrival is extendable up to 60 days.

Zimbabwe
